Davenport's Hardware Store Since Day One

The right material,
the first time.

You don't have time for guesswork on a job site. We keep the supplies you actually need in stock, price them fairly, and staff the counter with people who've been doing this long enough to know what you're about to ask.

What We Carry

Everything for the job.
Nothing you don't need.

Lumber & Building Materials

Dimensional lumber, plywood, OSB, trim, roofing, and insulation — ordered fast if we don't have it on the shelf.

Tools & Hardware

Hand tools, power tool accessories, fasteners, anchors, adhesives, and the small parts that always go missing.

Plumbing

Pipe, fittings, valves, fixtures, water heaters, and the parts that make a leak stop leaking — not start one.

Electrical

Wire, breakers, outlets, lighting, switches, and everything up to code — because we sell to contractors who know better.

Paint & Stain

Interior, exterior, and specialty paints with color matching, plus primers, stains, and the supplies to go with them.

Garden & Outdoor

Fencing, gate hardware, irrigation supplies, fast-growing plants, and the seasonal stuff that matters in May and September.

Why Locals Choose Us

We're not the biggest store.
We're the one that shows up.

01

People behind the counter who know their stuff

Our staff has decades of combined experience. They've installed what you're about to install and can tell you which way is easiest — and which way will cause a callback.

02

Orders arrive fast, even for small jobs

You shouldn't have to buy a truckload to get a truckload delivery. We order from the same distributors the big boxes use, and we treat a $40 order with the same urgency as a $4,000 one.

03

Fair prices, no membership required

No loyalty card. No minimum purchase. No pressure to join a program. What you see is what you pay — and we'd rather make a fair profit on a repeat customer than squeeze a one-time visit.

About Hwy 2 Hardware

A hardware store
for the whole valley.

Hwy 2 Hardware has been a fixture on Morgan Street in Davenport for as long as anyone who counts can remember. We serve homeowners doing their first remodel, contractors running a crew through a full remodel season, and everyone in between who'd rather support a local business than drive two hours to the nearest big-box store.

We stock the items that local builders and homeowners actually use — and we order in whatever we don't have when a job demands it. That's how we've stayed open this long: by being useful to the people who live and work around here.
